Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD), we are excited to invite you to attend the 48th Annual ISPAD Conference in Abu Dhabi, UAE, which will be held from Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 October, 2022.
The motto for the meeting is “From illness to wellness in childhood diabetes” and we are putting together what promises to be a memorable and exciting program to cover all aspects of pediatric diabetes care with something for all members of the multidisciplinary team.
After two virtual years, we are excited to welcome you back face-to-face to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi was first settled by the nomadic Bani Yas tribe in 1760 but has grown from a fishing village into a modern waterside city which boats many superb facilities and attractions and is a centre for government and business. The city’s beautiful Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque dominates the skyline and we are privileged to be hosting the conference in Abu Dhabi’s new Conference and Exhibition Centre ADNEC.
Besides its excellent infrastructure for transportation and accommodation and its legendary Arabian hospitality, the UAE have also shown their efficiency in coping with the COVID-19 pandemics and proven to be one of the top countries in up-taking the COVID safety measures and vaccinations.
We promise you a cutting-edge scientific conference that is going to be highly educational and enjoyable. We look forward to collaborating with all of you to move children and adolescents with diabetes ‘from illness to wellness’.
